Grand Opening of Angler’s Roost at Leaburg Library December 10th.

All MRGA members and guests are invited to attend the grand opening of the “Anglers Roost” flyfishing book collection at the Leaburg Library next to McKenzie Fire and Rescue in Leaburg Saturday, December 10, 2-4 PM.

As many MRGA members know, Tom Ripp, a long-time MRGA Associate Member, has, over his lifetime, accumulated a world-class, nearly 500-volume collection of flyfishing literature. He’s donated that collection to Leaburg Library, where we’ve prepared a special room, “Angler’s Roost”, to house the collection. The “roost,” adorned with a Lynda Edwards mural, is a quiet place to browse, read and check out selected volumes as Tom wishes (with special accountability). Tom will give an overview of the collection at 2:00 PM in the MF&R Community Room—refreshments will follow there and at the library, where attendees can view the collection.
